Dr. V. Chitra Sree is currently working as Sr. Consultant and HOD, Department of Biochemistry, Hematology and Clinical Pathology, Madras Medical Mission, Chennai since 2007. After completion of her PG Diploma in Clinical Pathology at MMC, she started her career as Medical Officer in Indian Red Cross Blood Bank, Chennai. She moved in her career as ‘Clinical Pathologist’ at Hi Tech Diagnostics Centre, Chennai; ‘Consultant’ at DDRC Wellspring Pathlab Diagnostic Centre, Ernakulam, Kerala; ‘Associate Consultant, Consultant and Sr. Consultant’ at MMM, Chennai. She played a lead role in implementing TQM with effective compliance to NABL and NABH requirements and served as “NABL Quality Manager & Co-ordinator” for “Clinical Lab Services” of MMM, Chennai. She is actively involved in academic activities and Course coordination of MSc.MLT, BSc.MLT, Physician Assistants, PGDMLT and other paramedical courses affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University & BITS, Pilani. As an active member of Ethics committee of “Clinical Research unit of MMM” since 2008, she takes effective participation in Clinical/ Diagnostic Research / Trials at MMM, Chennai. She mentored PG students in their dissertation works as a Guide. She has publications in National and International Journals to her credit. She had participated in various National and International Conferences and Symposiums and delivered guest lectures in various scientific forums related to cardiac markers, reproductive endocrinology hormones, Technological advances and Quality Management in Laboratory Medicine. She is an active member of Association of Practicing Pathologists of India.
